Gianni Ca$h (Of mustache fame) got with me about making some visuals for a new track he was going to release. After going back and forth and getting an idea down, I got the animation done, and we continued to go back and forth to build up the pace and effects.
I got contacted by a music duo called Sunset Company asking if I'd be interested in working on a track from their upcoming album. They had a cool idea and just let me run with it!
I got the cool opportunity to work on animation for a tack off ¡MAYDAY!'s album Believers. I did a bunch of animation in a style reminiscent of a Jack Daniels bottle, then they shot a bunch of video while on tour, and combined the two elements.
A fun project from a 48 hour animation challenge #slapdashjam! The theme was growth. I settled on a story about those growing sponges that come in capsules and you drop in the sink, then when you come back later they've grown into an awesome dinosaur or bug!
After watching Double Fine's Broken Age documentary, I was left with the itch to try some puppet work in Maya. After some trial and error I was able to build up a rig that worked for the animation, got everything animated and composited the final thing in After Effects.
